A 54 year-old man who died while skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has been identified, now that his family has been notified. Deputy Teton County Coroner Dave Hodges says Marc Krantz was visiting from the Cleveland, Ohio area. At this time, the incident is still under investigation by sheriff’s officers, but Hodges says there was no foul play involved. Krantz was discovered inverted in the snow in Brush Gully, which is a run below the Beaver Tooth spilt, about 3:10 pm Sunday. Jackson Hole Ski Patrol and a physician arrived on the scene and performed life support efforts. He was transported to the St. John’s Clinic in Teton Village at approximately 3:30 pm where he was pronounced dead at 3:50 pm. Hodges says it is hoped more an exact cause of death will be known by the end of the day.
