The Post 43 Giants are fast-becoming the “Cardiac Kids” to the delight of their fans and the heart palpitations of their manager Jason Huggins. The Giants won 4 of 5 games over the holiday weekend as they hosted the Teton Classic. After dropping the opening game against Lone Peak 5-4 on Thursday, Jackson doubled-down with a 14-6 thumping of Thunder Ridge Friday night and pulling off come-from-behind victories on Saturday and Sunday. The top of the order did most of the damage all weekend as Parker Bleggi, Mason Wright, Seth Christiansen, Quentin Bruno, and Connor Lang were tough outs as the Giants provided plenty of fireworks on the diamond for the Fourth of July weekend. Saturday’s thriller ended with a walk-off game-winning single from Seth Christianson for a 6-5 win. Sunday, the Giants staged two more comeback victories—a 12-11 win over the Evanston Outlaws and an 11-10 final inning win over the Rock Springs Sand Puppies. The Giants improve to 10-17 on the season. Jackson heads to Evanston for a 3-game stand this week and are off to Cody for a tournament there this weekend.
