The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission recently got ahold of more big game winter range land near Dubois. The 120-acre property sits inside the Commission’s Spence and Moriarity Wildlife Management Area. It provides important wintering habitat for mule deer, elk, bighorn sheep, and pronghorn.
Property was landlocked
The property was landlocked on all sides. Brian Rognon with Game and Fi said they we were excited to have the parcel move into the rest of the WMA. He said it will allow for recreational access onto the land.
The Spence and Moriarity WMA and the Inberg Roy Wildlife Habitat Management Areas close Dec 16 – May 15 to humans. Check the Game and Fish website here for more information on winter land closures around the state.
