Cold weather north of Yellowstone has boosted the harvest of elk by hunters in the area. The variable weather conditions brought snow to higher elevations and contributed to higher elk movement, improving hunting opportunities in Paradise Valley north of Yellowstone. Hunters reported higher success at the Cameron and Gardiner check stations, with Cameron actually reporting the highest number of elk harvested in a 15-year record.
